How is my Amex pricing tier worked out?
Each payment you make with your American Express card is automatically matched to the pricing tier for its payment amount. Payments up to $99,999 use the standard rate, and the rate steps down at $100,000, $300,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000.
Do I need to do anything to get the lower rate?
No. There is nothing to update or change. Make your payment as you normally would and the applicable rate is applied automatically. The exact fee is shown before you confirm each payment.
Do I still earn Membership Rewards points?
Yes. You continue to earn full Membership Rewards® points on eligible transactions on every plan, and Earn Plus and Earn Max add B2B Points on top: 1 B2B Point per $2 or per $1.
Are the Amex rates GST inclusive?
No. The rates are ex GST. GST is added and itemised on your tax statement, so GST-registered businesses can claim the input tax credit.
What is the Amex rate on a $100,000 payment?
A $100,000 payment falls in the $100,000 to $299,999 tier: 2.05% on Essential, 3.35% on Earn Plus and 3.80% on Earn Max, ex GST.
Can I change my plan?
