Why choose B2Bpay

B2Bpay lets Australian businesses pay suppliers and bills by credit card even if the payee does not accept cards, earn full card points plus B2B Points, and convert them 1:1 to Qantas or Velocity Points, for a single platform fee per payment.

What makes B2Bpay different?

Short answer: You use a card you already have to pay anyone you need to pay, including payees who do not take cards, and you earn points on spend most businesses never earn on. Points convert 1:1 to Qantas or Velocity, and the only fee is a platform fee per payment.

For small business owners and sole traders that combination is genuinely useful. But it is worth understanding what sets B2Bpay apart, because not all business payment platforms work the same way.

You can pay a wide range of suppliers

Most card payment tools only work when the person on the other end accepts cards. B2Bpay removes that limitation for most business payments. Rent, trade suppliers, utilities, council rates, insurance, the ATO: if you have a bill and a bank account or BPAY code to send to, B2Bpay can likely handle it. Some exclusions apply under card scheme rules.

This matters because many of your major expenses probably sit outside the card network entirely. B2Bpay brings those payments back into the picture, so more of your monthly spend works for you rather than just leaving your account. See pay suppliers who don't accept cards.

Earn reward points on spend that matters

B2B Points are the flexible way to earn. Instead of being tied to one loyalty program, you accumulate B2B Points and convert them to your preferred partner.

Reward partnerConversion
Qantas Business Rewards1 B2B Point = 1 Qantas Point
Virgin Australia Business Flyer1 B2B Point = 1 Velocity Point
Qatar Airways Privilege Club2 B2B Points = 1 Avios
Luxury Escapes Société1 B2B Point = 2.5 Société Points

You keep your full card points as well, including on the ATO, government, insurance and utility payments that earn reduced points when paid directly. B2B Points credit 5 days after payment. See B2B Points.

Straightforward fees, without add-on charges

Some platforms charge a base fee and then a separate charge if you want to earn points. B2Bpay's plans build the points in: pick Essential, Earn Plus or Earn Max and the published fee is the fee.

No monthly fee is stated. The fee is a platform fee for the service, shown before you confirm and itemised on your tax statement; it is generally a business expense (confirm with your accountant). For businesses watching the books closely, you know what you are paying before you commit. See pricing.

Conversion rates are worth comparing

Not all business payment platforms convert points at the same rate. Some require two of their own points to earn one Qantas or Velocity Point. B2Bpay converts B2B Points to both Qantas and Velocity at 1:1, and to Avios at 2:1.

Conversion rates deserve as much attention as the headline fee, because together they determine the value you actually receive. Read pay direct vs pay through B2Bpay for a side-by-side view.

Cash flow and reconciliation

One practical reason businesses use cards is timing. Pay a supplier through B2Bpay on your card and the money leaves your business when your statement is due, up to 55 days later depending on your card and cycle. It does not change what you owe, but it changes when you pay it, which can make a meaningful difference.

B2Bpay integrates with Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks, so payments do not create extra work at month end. Bills load automatically, payments and fees are recorded back, and reconciliation happens inside your existing setup. Less manual data entry means fewer things going wrong. See pay bills from Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks.

Frequently asked questions

Is B2Bpay only for large businesses?

No. Sole traders, start-ups and multi-site operators all use it. There is no monthly fee stated, so a business paying a few bills a month pays only the platform fee on those payments. Larger businesses can ask the team about enterprise pricing.

Do I have to change how I pay suppliers?

Only on your side. You pay through B2Bpay instead of internet banking. Your suppliers receive the same EFT or BPAY payment with the same reference, and do not need to know B2Bpay is involved. You can keep paying some suppliers directly if you prefer.

What if a supplier does accept cards?

You can still pay them through B2Bpay to keep every payment in one place, earn B2B Points and have it recorded in your accounting software. Many customers do this for simplicity and consistent reconciliation. You also avoid any card fee the supplier might add, and you keep your card's full points.

How safe is B2Bpay?

B2Bpay is PCI DSS compliant, tokenises cards so numbers are never stored in full, verifies payee bank accounts, keeps data onshore and is run by an Australian-based team at Zenith Payments Pty Ltd in Mascot, NSW. See is B2Bpay safe.

What does B2Bpay cost compared with paying directly?

Paying directly by bank transfer costs nothing and earns nothing. B2Bpay costs a platform fee of 1.10% to 3.85% by card or 0.50% to 1.97% by bank account or PayTo, and returns card points, B2B Points and up to 55 days of cash flow. Whether it is worth it depends on your card and volumes.
