Using Membership Rewards® Pay with Points with SafeKey®

Where it is available

Pay with Points with B2Bpay is available when you, the primary Card Member, pay bills using the one-off payment page on the B2Bpay Customer Portal. It is also available on all B2Bpay Billers' 'Pay Now' payment pages hosted by B2Bpay (including integrated Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks pages, where the URL starts with pay.b2bpay.com.au) and on websites using the B2Bpay Payment Plugin.

Eligibility to 'Use points to pay with SafeKey'

You can 'Use points to pay with SafeKey' if you are the Primary Card Member of an Australian-issued American Express® Card, your Card is enrolled in the Membership Rewards programme, and your Card account is in good standing (not overdue or in collection). Supplementary Card Members are not eligible.

+ Using 'Use points to pay with SafeKey'

The minimum redemption is 1,000 Membership Rewards points. The maximum redemption is the lower of the total transaction value or your total Membership Rewards points. The number of points needed for a credit may vary over time; the points required for the credit value are shown during redemption, before you submit.

The full transaction amount is charged to your account, and the statement credit for the value you selected appears within 72 hours of the charge (this may not be the full transaction amount). The credit may not appear on the same statement as the charge. If so, you must still pay the amount due on your statement, and the credit will apply to charges on your next statement.

^ Membership Rewards points are subject to the Membership Rewards program Terms and Conditions.

Returns and refunds

If required, contact B2Bpay about refund eligibility, but remember that payments cannot be refunded after funds have been forwarded to your biller. If you do obtain a refund, the refund amount applies to your Card account. Membership Rewards points are not reimbursed automatically: you may keep the credit, or if you prefer your points back, call American Express on the number on the back of your Card.

General

Your Card terms and conditions continue to apply when you use points with SafeKey. You must keep making payments as set out in your Statement of Account and Card Member agreement. All Membership Rewards points are subject to the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions. American Express may change or suspend the 'Use points to pay with SafeKey' feature for any reason and at any time without notice, including when a Card account is not in good standing. For more information, see the American Express Pay with Points FAQs (PDF).
