B2Bpay for financial services businesses
B2Bpay lets financial advisers, mortgage brokers, planners and accountants in practice pay licensee and dealer group fees, software, professional indemnity insurance, rent and the ATO by credit card, with the payee receiving a bank transfer, so every overhead earns points.
What financial services bills can be paid through B2Bpay?
Short answer: Practice overheads: licensee or aggregator fees, advice and CRM software, professional indemnity insurance, rent, compliance and research subscriptions, and the ATO. You pay by Visa, Mastercard or American Express; the payee receives a bank transfer or BPAY payment.
Advice and broking practices carry high fixed costs that are invoiced on account, not billed to a card. Typical payments include:
- Licensee, dealer group and aggregator fees, often the main monthly invoice.
- Financial planning, loan processing, CRM and document software, frequently invoiced annually.
- Professional indemnity and cyber insurance premiums.
- Office rent, paraplanning and compliance consultants, research and data subscriptions.
- Marketing, lead generation and referral partner invoices.
- ATO payments: BAS, PAYG withholding and instalments, income tax.
Payments are made by B2Bpay on your behalf from the firm's own operating funds; the service is for your business bills, not client money.
How does it help practice cash flow?
Adviser and broker revenue is lumpy: upfront commissions land when loans settle or advice is implemented, while licensee fees, PI premiums and the ATO fall due on a fixed calendar. B2Bpay lets you pay those bills on time by card while the cash stays in your account for up to 55 days interest-free, depending on the card and statement cycle.
Paying a $30,000 annual PI premium or a quarterly BAS this way spreads the cash impact to your statement due date and earns points on money that was always going to leave the business. The cash flow guide explains timing. Practices that bill fees can also collect them by card through the biller product.
What do the points look like for a practice?
Your card issuer pays its usual reward points on every B2Bpay payment, and B2Bpay adds B2B Points: 1 per $1 on Earn Max, 1 per $2 on Earn Plus. 1 B2B Point equals 1 Qantas Point or 1 Velocity Point; 1 B2B Point also converts to 2.5 Luxury Escapes Société Points.
A practice paying $50,000 a month in licensee fees, software, rent and ATO payments on Earn Max earns 50,000 B2B Points a month before card points. That is business class to a conference, or a reward for the team, funded by overheads. Check your own numbers with the points calculator and read points maths: what a payment earns.
Who uses it, and what does it cost?
Usually the practice principal or practice manager, often with an external bookkeeper. Multiple user logins are supported and bills sync from Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks with automatic reconciliation, which keeps the audit trail clean for your licensee.

Frequently asked questions
Can I pay my licensee or aggregator fees by card?
Yes. The licensee receives a bank transfer with your reference, so they do not need to accept cards. The amount goes on your Visa, Mastercard or American Express, earns your card points and B2B Points, and stays in your account until your statement is due.
Is B2Bpay licensed?
B2Bpay is owned and operated by Zenith Payments Pty Ltd, Mascot NSW. AFSL 528678 is held by ZenPay Pty Ltd. The platform is PCI DSS compliant and used by more than 40,000 Australian businesses. See is B2Bpay safe.
Can I pay the ATO after it stops taking credit cards in 2027?
Yes. The ATO has stated that after 30 June 2027 it will no longer accept credit card payments directly. B2Bpay pays the ATO by bank transfer using your payment reference number, so BAS, PAYG and income tax can still be paid by card. See ATO credit card changes 2027.
Can my accountant or bookkeeper run the payments?
Yes. Multiple user logins are supported, so a bookkeeper can load and schedule payments while the principal approves. Bills flow in from Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks and are reconciled automatically when paid.
Is the fee deductible?
The fee is a platform fee charged by B2Bpay for the service and appears on your tax statement, which you download from the portal. It is generally a business expense; confirm deductibility for your structure with your accountant.
