Multiple user login: add your team to your B2Bpay profile

It usually takes more than one person to run a business. You can add multiple users to your B2Bpay Customer profile, each with their own login and an access level chosen by you, the profile Owner.

Short answer: Log in, open the Profile tab, then the User tab, and click Add User. Enter the person's email address, name and role (Owner, Super User or User). They get a Welcome email to set their own password.

Built from your feedback

Many customers asked for more than one person to be linked to a single business profile. We took that feedback on board and launched multiple user login: add users to your B2Bpay Customer profile and give each one a different access level.

No more sharing one password. Everyone signs in with their own details, and payments set up by your team can wait for approval before they go out.

Types of user roles

Choose a role for each person you add. If you already have a B2Bpay account, you are automatically its Owner.

  • Add, delete and modify users
  • Make payments (as now)
  • Approve payments initiated by others
  • Edit profile details
  • Add accounts and cards to the wallet

Super User

  • Make payments (as now)
  • Approve payments initiated by others

Usually suits a finance manager and/or accountant (if you wish).

User

  • Initiate payments for approval by the Owner or a Super User

Usually suits a bookkeeper and/or accounts payable staff.

How to add a new user

Adding a user is simple and fast.

  1. Log in and open your profile. Log in to your B2Bpay account and click the Profile tab.
  2. Go to Users. Click the User tab and select Add User.
  3. Enter their details. Add the user's email address, name and role (see the roles above).
  4. They set their password. The new user receives a Welcome email to set up their own password and access the profile.

Approving payments set up by a User

When a User initiates a payment, the Owner or a Super User receives an email asking them to log in and approve it. Tick the box next to each payment and click Approve, or tick and click Reject to decline it.

Frequently asked questions

I already have a B2Bpay account. Do I need to do anything?

No. Keep using your current login details: you are automatically the Owner of the account. If you want to add users, follow the steps above.

Can my bookkeeper or accountant access more than one client profile?

Yes. Accountants and bookkeepers can access a number of client profiles to help pay invoices. They switch between accounts by clicking their name in the top right-hand corner of the portal and choosing the profile from the drop-down list. Profiles show the business or trading name. To add your accountant or bookkeeper, add them as a new user on your account. If they already have access to other accounts in B2Bpay, you can skip sending the Welcome email because they will not need a new password; your account will appear as a profile next time they log in.

When a User initiates a payment, how do I approve it?

You will receive an email asking you to log in and approve the payments. Log in, tick the box next to each payment you want to approve and click Approve. To reject payments, tick the box next to each one and click Reject.
