Saving time is one of the greatest challenges for any small, fast-growing business. That was true for Andrew Wilcox, who co-owns Hop Vine & Still in Hobart with his wife, Bek. Juggling a young baby and a growing business, Wilcox admits he is "very busy" right now.
The time-saving hack
Wilcox found an easy time-saver in B2Bpay, an online portal he describes as quicker to use than internet banking.
How 50,000 points a month adds up
On top of the time saved, the points add up quickly:
- Card points on 90 per cent of spendWilcox puts around 90 per cent of business expenses on his American Express Qantas Business Rewards Card.
- More points again through B2BpayPaying those expenses through the B2Bpay platform earns him more points on top.

Andrew Wilcox, co-owner, Hop Vine & Still
The shop
As an independent, Wilcox stocks the shop with products he likes. He is excited by the demand for preservative-free and sulphur-free wines, and by the emergence of non-alcoholic white spirits. Customers tell him they have travelled to Tasmania just to sample local gins.
"Tasmania has itself set up as a gin lover's destination. And we are passionate Tasmanians."
Andrew Wilcox, co-owner, Hop Vine & Still
Where the points will go
Before opening the business and becoming parents, Wilcox and Bek spent time travelling: pairing food and wine in Bologna, and getting engaged in Berlin. Once they can travel again, they plan to head to France's Champagne and Bordeaux regions, and they plan to use the Qantas Points their business has earned for a first-class flight.
