B2Bpay for recruitment agencies
B2Bpay lets recruitment agencies pay job advertising, applicant tracking and CRM software, background checks, rent, insurance and the ATO by credit card, with the payee receiving a bank transfer, so overheads earn points and sit on your card for up to 55 days.
What recruitment agency bills can be paid through B2Bpay?
Short answer: The overheads of running an agency: job board and advertising invoices, recruitment software, background and reference checking, rent, insurance and the ATO. You pay by Visa, Mastercard or American Express; the payee receives a bank transfer or BPAY payment.
Recruitment is a people business, but it still has a stack of invoices that arrive with a BSB and account number:
- Job board and advertising invoices, especially annual or volume contracts billed on account.
- Applicant tracking, CRM, sourcing and video interview software invoiced annually.
- Police, working-with-children, qualification and reference checking providers.
- Office rent, serviced office fees and professional indemnity insurance.
- Industry memberships, training, events and marketing suppliers.
- The ATO: BAS, PAYG withholding and instalments, company tax.
B2Bpay does not fund candidate or contractor payroll. Wages and super are outside the platform; see payroll, super and what you cannot pay.
How does it help agency cash flow?
Agencies are paid on placement, often 30 days or more after a start date, while overheads fall due every month regardless. Paying those overheads through B2Bpay moves them onto your card, where they sit for up to 55 days interest-free depending on your card and statement cycle.
The ATO is the obvious one. PAYG withholding and the quarterly BAS land whether or not fees have been collected. Paying them by card through B2Bpay keeps cash in the account until your statement is due and earns points on the way. The cash flow guide explains how to line payments up with your statement date. Agencies can also take client payments by card via the biller product.
What do the points look like for an agency?
Your card issuer pays its normal reward points on every B2Bpay payment, and B2Bpay adds B2B Points: 1 per $1 on Earn Max, 1 per $2 on Earn Plus. 1 B2B Point equals 1 Qantas Point or 1 Velocity Point.
An agency paying $40,000 a month in advertising, software, rent and ATO payments through B2Bpay on Earn Max earns 40,000 B2B Points a month before card points. Recruiters fly to meet clients and candidates, so points convert straight into business travel or a consultant incentive. See the points maths guide and the calculator.
Who uses it, and what does it cost?
Usually the director or office manager, with the bookkeeper loading bills. Multiple user logins are supported, and bills sync from Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks with automatic reconciliation.
| Payment method | Essential | Earn Plus | Earn Max |

Fees ex GST, as published at b2bpay.com.au. Earn Max earns 1 B2B Point per $1, Earn Plus 1 per $2, Essential none. The fee is a platform fee for the service, shown on your tax statement.
A $15,000 annual job board invoice paid by Visa on Earn Max carries a $375 fee and earns 15,000 B2B Points plus card points, while the $15,000 stays in your account until your statement is due. The fees and tax deductions guide covers how the fee is treated.

Frequently asked questions
Can B2Bpay fund contractor or temp payroll?
No. B2Bpay pays business bills such as suppliers, software, rent, insurance and the ATO. It is not a payroll funding or invoice finance product and does not pay wages or superannuation. The guide on payroll, super and what you cannot pay sets out the boundaries.
Can I pay my BAS and PAYG withholding by card?
Yes. B2Bpay pays the ATO by bank transfer using your payment reference number, so the amount goes on your card and earns points. The ATO has said it will stop accepting credit card payments directly after 30 June 2027; paying through B2Bpay continues. See pay BAS with a credit card.
Can I pay a job board that already accepts cards through B2Bpay?
You can, and some agencies do so to earn B2B Points on top of card points and to keep all payments in one portal with one tax statement. Compare the platform fee against the extra points first; the pay direct vs pay through B2Bpay guide covers that decision.
Does rent qualify?
Yes. Office rent and serviced office fees are among the most common payments through B2Bpay. The landlord or agent receives a bank transfer with your reference. See pay rent with a credit card.
Is there a monthly or joining fee?
No monthly fee is stated. You pay the published platform fee on each payment according to your plan, shown on your tax statement. The team confirms pricing for larger agencies.
