A Stripe alternative that's cheaper, with great Australian customer service
Thinking of moving your card payments off Stripe? Here's how B2Bpay compares on fees, settlement and support for Australian businesses that invoice their customers, and why business owners are making the switch.
Is B2Bpay a good alternative to Stripe?
Short answer: For Australian businesses that invoice their customers, often yes. B2Bpay has an Australian-based team you can call, competitive card fees with no per-transaction fee on top, direct debit and phone payments, automatic settlement to your bank account within 3 business days, and you earn Qantas Points for getting paid.**
"We switched from Stripe to B2Bpay and couldn't be happier. We love using an Australian-based service rather than dealing with overseas customer support. Plus, the direct debit option has been a game changer. Thanks to Matt for getting us set up in just a few days!"

Why business owners are leaving Stripe for B2Bpay
One of the main reasons Australian business owners move from Stripe to B2Bpay is that it costs less to receive card payments. Businesses also like that the money their customers or clients pay arrives in their bank account within 3 business days. It's automatic: once you're approved and set up, there are no more hoops to jump through to receive your funds.
B2Bpay is Australian based. The team is available to take a call during business hours and replies to emails straight away, and will troubleshoot with you, including by screen sharing, to keep everything working.
And the cherry on top: when you sign up to accept card payments with B2Bpay, you earn Qantas Points for getting paid. B2Bpay billers earn 1 Qantas Point for every $20 paid to them by Visa or Mastercard.** Make the switch and earn yourself a well-deserved holiday.
Pricing for receiving payments
If you absorb the fee, the card processing fees are: Visa / Mastercard standard cards 1.3%, Visa / Mastercard premium and corporate cards 1.65% and American Express 2.2%, with no transaction fees.
You choose how the fee is handled: absorb it as a business cost, or show it to your customer on the payment page. The RBA's rules on passing card costs to customers changed on 1 October 2026, so the team will talk through which option suits your business. See what the RBA surcharge ban means for your business. Full detail is on the pricing page.
